In attendance were approximately 23 people. The meeting started off with lots of food to eat; eggs, pancakes, pastries, muffins, bacon, home fries, fresh fruit, yogurt, coffee, various juices, hot cereal, brown sugar and raisins, etc. Nobody went hungry.

After breakfast, Sharon Olson (Bagalio) gave a well received talk on the American Red Cross's role in delivering Disaster Health Services, and explained her role as a State Nurse Liaison with the Maine chapter of the Red Cross. We watched a video that covered the ARC past and present. Sharon also provided us with a packet of information, and a question and answer session followed.

After Sharon's presentation, the group discussed the following:

The Christmas Luncheon will be held December 7th, 10:00 AM at the

Snow Squall Restaurant

A donation to UNE from The Golden Club in the name of the late William Wyatt D.O. will be made and the amount to donate was discussed.

There was a discussion about changing the name of The Golden Club, once strictly a retirement club, to reflect the fact that 90% of the current members are not retired. There were a number of ideas about the name, and all agreed that the words 'Osteopathic' or 'OHM' should be included. Hence it was decided that the name of club would change from 'The Golden Club' to 'The Osteopathic Brighton Alumni Association'.

And a good time was had by all…
